May 16 – Dackel

Posted on Updated on

Walter Miller and Phil Hatchett met at a Raleigh coffeehouse and started performing in 2009.  They chose “Dackel” (German cute name for dachshund) as a band name in honor of their original song “Year of the Dog”.  Their influences are primarily traditional music, rock and blues.  They are members of the North Carolina Songwriters Coop and has performed at the Festival for the Eno, Durham’s Centerfest, the Artwalk in Durham, Come Out and Play sculpture show in Pittsboro, private parties, coffeehouses in the Triangle, and Magnolia Glen Senior Living Center.  This is their second performance at Sacred Grounds.
