Katie Basden grew up in Durham, NC and graduated from Belmont University. As a singer/songwriter, she was inspired by country music from a young age, however that’s not all she loved. Listening to everything from the soulful sounds of The Allman Brothers to the pure harmonies in bluegrass, Katie blends many different genres into her own style of Country. She most recently won Belmont’s Commercial Showcase and before that ASCAP’s writer showcase. She is currently recording her new project which includes moving back to Durham and encompassing her love for her hometown into a new album.
