Feb 28 – Tim Fast & Herschel Lee Browne
A Folk/Americana singer/songwriter, Tim has performed on live radio shows, been featured on cable TV and has been nominated for and received many awards for his skillful songwriting. In 2003 he released his self titled debut CD and in 2007 his 2nd CD, Starlite Drive-in and he recently released his 3rd CD. James Keelaghan said of Tim “Excellent songwriter, exquisite guitar player and the sweetest voice I’ve heard in a long time”. Tim is a regular at Sacred Grounds although he lives in Minnesota since he has performed for us nearly every winter for the past 11 years.
Herschel comes to us from South Carolina for his fifth concert at Sacred Grounds. His voice has been described as his best instrument and is “powerful yet soothing-edgy and soft-soaring and sweet”. His musical influences are old southern hymns, country and bluegrass of the late 50s such as Doc Watson and Bill Monroe, and folk and rock artists of the late 60s and 70s.
