August 16 – The Commanderrs
The Commanderrs, Sally Derr and her brother Isaac, first played Sacred Grounds in April and were a big hit, playing folk and country. Sally has a unique voice and Isaac is a skilled guitar player. Isaac is currently a rising senior in high school, and Sally graduated with a degree in psychology in the spring of 2013. They recently finished recording their first album, Set Sail, at the Rubber Room Studio in Chapel Hill, NC, which will be released in late July. They play gigs across the Triangle, as well as in the coastal areas of NC. In June, 2014, The two were very excited to add Luke Murray to the group. His talent on drums provides The Commanderrs an opportunity to explore different styles of music than they could as a pair. Luke is also a rising Senior in high school and plans to study music in his undergraduate education. Please come and support these three performers in a fun night of music.
