Don Smith has been a regular performer at Sacred Grounds since 2001 in many different roles — as a solo artist, as a member of two different trios, and in a number of one-time duet shows with fellow musicians. On Sept 29th, he returns for another solo appearance with a set list that will be comprised of his personal favorite tunes drawn from over 150 years of American musical history. Some of his songs will make you laugh; others might make you cry. But nearly all of them have a story to tell, and Don has a story to tell about many of them as well. By the time you leave his show, you’ll have been not only entertained, but also educated and enlightened about some parts of American history that you might not have known when you arrived.
