Following onto two very well-received shows earlier in the year, Wildflower returns to our stage tonight. Made up of Dan Heimsoth (banjo, guitar, vocals), Ceil Chappell (vocals) and Don Smith (guitar, mandolin, bass, vocals), Wildflower plays a mix of both old and new folk with a little country and pop thrown in for good measure. They cover the music of such artists as The Carter Family, Dolly Parton, John Prine, Emmylou Harris, Gordon Lightfoot, Tom Paxton, and Johnny & June Cash. In addition, they’ve got over a dozen original tunes in their repertoire *and* they’ll be performing several songs that they’ve never played here before. This promises to be a night of music that you won’t want to miss.
