Jan 28 – Don Smith and Alan Phelps @ 7:30p

Over the past few years, Don Smith has brought us a number of special “themed” shows. One was a program made up of nothing but train songs. Another was the music of a single artist – The Carter Family – which he presented along with Cindy Emens. Tonight, Don will be reuniting with his good friend and former ESP band mate Alan Phelps for a very special musical event. Don and Alan will be bringing four instruments to this show:
1915 Gibson mandolin
1924 Gibson guitar
1925 Gibson mandolin
1926 Martin guitar
and their playlist will be made up *entirely* of songs that were written no later than 1926. The oldest one they have planned is from the 1780s! This promises to be very interesting and entertaining night of music … make plans now to see it.

Jan 21 – City Folk @ 7:30p

City Folk (Pete and Jane Smith) is an acoustic folk group that plays music spanning contemporary folk and pop music to country-folk music. They are one of our long time favorites at Sacred Grounds – Pete is a fine singer and master on guitar and Jane has one of the purest voices you’ll hear on our stage. Their daughter Joanna (bass player) occasionally performs and adds to this already great night of music.

Jan 14 – Todd Parrott @ 7:30p

Todd is a Christian harmonica player, keyboardist and singer – if you haven’t heard a really good harmonica player perform you will be shocked at the great and varied sounds Todd can produce. His appearances are not merely “performances”, but are opportunities for those present to be blessed as they open their hearts through singing and music. Come and see why Todd is so highly thought of at Sacred Grounds.
